Six nutrition rows sit above one active line. The active line reads Proprietary Blend, 82 mg, and beneath it runs a paragraph of nine botanical and amino acid names in a single unbroken run of type, with a figure tucked inside one of them.

That is a complete panel in the format the regulation sets out, and a complete panel is worth more than it might look. A jar that carries one can be checked. Plenty of jars in this category carry a marketing ingredient list and no panel at all, and nothing about those can be checked by anyone.

One gummy. The serving size line says so, the servings-per-container line says 30, and the suggested use underneath says to take one daily. Three separate lines on the same jar agree, which makes the arithmetic on this product the simplest in the category.

Read straight off the panel and the suggested use line. Nothing in this table is an estimate.

Everything downstream of that follows cleanly. A per-day cost is a jar price divided by thirty. A supply length is a jar count multiplied by thirty. The sixty-day guarantee covers a first jar and all but two days of a second.

It also means a jar that runs out early or late is telling you something. Thirty-four days from a thirty-gummy jar is four missed days, and a written note beats a memory when you are deciding at week eight whether the routine held.

A proprietary blend is a labelling format written into United States regulation, not a gap in the artwork. The rule is that the members of a blend are listed in descending order of predominance by weight, and that the blend as a whole carries a single total.

So the order on the jar is information. Muira puama extract is printed first, which means it weighs at least as much as anything behind it. Horny goat weed extract is printed last, which means it weighs no more than anything ahead of it.

Descending order of predominance is the labelling rule for a blend. Rank is certain; the interval between one rank and the next is not.

That last point is the most useful thing on this page, and it comes free with the format. Caffeine is printed at 5 mg and sits sixth. Ashwagandha, L-arginine, tribulus and horny goat weed are printed behind it, so each of those four weighs 5 mg or less in a gummy. The first five names share whatever is left of the 82 mg.

Four of the six nutrition rows describe the sweet the actives are carried in. 10 calories, 3 g of total carbohydrate at 1% of the daily value, 3 g of total sugar, all of it added, at 6%, and 4 mg of sodium at under 1%.

A 6% Daily Value for added sugar is measured against a 2,000 calorie diet, which the panel's own footnote states.

Three grams is roughly two thirds of a level teaspoon. Against a soft drink it is trivial; against a diet counting added sugar carefully it is a line item that arrives every day for a month. Both readings are fair and the panel supports both, which is why the figure is printed here rather than left for someone to find on the jar.

The sodium is the row nobody needs to think about. Four milligrams against a 2,300 mg reference is the sort of number that exists so the panel is complete.

A percent Daily Value compares an amount against a reference intake set for the general population. Those references exist for vitamins, minerals and macronutrients, which is why carbohydrate, added sugar and sodium all carry a percentage on this jar.

Botanical extracts have no such reference. Nobody has set a recommended daily intake for maca or for tribulus, so a percentage cannot be calculated and the panel prints a dagger and the footnote “Daily Value not established” instead. That is the correct entry rather than an evasion.

The panel's own footnote markers are reproduced here. On this website the double marker is set as a double dagger so no bare asterisk appears in running text.

The double dagger is the one worth pausing on, because it describes a ratio rather than an amount. An extract is a concentrate, and 82 mg of concentrate can be described as the equivalent of a larger weight of the raw dried herb it came from. Roughly 567 mg is the manufacturer's figure for that equivalence across the whole blend.

Both numbers are totals for all nine names together. Neither one attaches to any single row above it, and the difference between them is a concentration ratio rather than a second dose.
